I love to dig into beauty problems and their solutions and post what I find. In my research I’ve come across great information that just doesn’t fit into my blog format. There are new studies on skin care, nutrition and fitness that I think would interest you as much as they did me.
I also have been trying to find a solid way of reviewing and recommending products that compare different options at different prices. Its time-consuming and I only have one face, so a regular weekly or even bi-weekly feature is just not going to happen.
To find a home for this info I decided to publish a free, quarterly No-Nonsense Beauty Newsletter. I was one of the founding editors of the Berkeley Newsletter and I love the format. A newsletter allows me to gather short but interesting stories– but still gives me time to dig into a topic.
The first issue of the No-Nonsense Newsletter will feature a review of six multi-tasking under- eye concealers. Not only do these products, hide dark circles they offer anti-aging protection from a built-in sunscreen. I road tested each one to see which provided the best coverage, which one lasted the longest and which one looked like halloween make-up.
Upcoming issues will include the link between rosacea and migraines ( fascinating stuff) , the 5 most effective cleansers for combination skin, and the right moisturizers for winter dry skin. Currently I am roading testing hair removal devices and differnt types of LED lights for acne, fine lines and sensitive skin. I also will be posting interviews with experts that have truely valuable nuggets of info. For example I recently spoke with dermatologist Dr Lefkovits who explained why the hormones in milk can trigger acne-like problems. Easy solution? Choose organic milk and dairy products.
I will be installing a No-Nonsense Beauty Newsletter button on my site, but you can subscribe now ( did I mention its free? ) by clicking here. This will take you to a sign-up page and the first issue of the newlettter will arrive in your mail box within a few hours. I’d love to hear what topics you would like to see covered.
