When I started exploring anti-aging options a few months go, I had just three go-to products. It wasn’t that I didn’t care — I just didn’t know what my skin truely needed. Too many times I would be vulnerable to great sales pitch and find that the expensive “miracle cream” either did nothing or made my face break-out. Now that I am testing out wrinkling fighting tools and techniques, I had to try out an endless buffet of skin care products. Trial and lots of error has resulted in a group of cleansers, moisturizers and sunscreens that deliever on their promises. I call them my “Fabulous Fourteen” and today I have uploaded that list in the blog tab ” Beauty Tool Kit”. I explain how to use them, how they work and how much they cost. I have only one face and can’t try out everything, so I would love to hear about your go-to products.

Hi Deb,
There is a new product called Dermalol MD that really works! It actually does exactly what it claims. The key to this product, as well as many others, is to follow the application directions. When this is done, the product works great AND it works immediately. No long term use and wait process. Clean your face, put it on and watch your face smooth and fill, instantly.
WHat’s in it that can deliver these results?
Hi Deb, the following are the ingredients in Dermalol MD. The science behind this product (nano-tech) minimizes the molecules of the collagen (protein) to fit through the pores of the skin down to the dermis. Instead of being topical, it goes down under the skin and works like a magnet drawing separated cells (due to aging) back together again which refills the wrinkles and lines.
Aqua
Sodium Silicate
Propylene Glycol
Cellulose
Hydrolyzed Collagen
Diazolidinyl Urea
Methyl and Propyl Paraben
This is good to know. I have tried everything from Burts Bees but way to oily. I’ve tried every product too at whole foods almost. I do the at home facial with the Riiviva Microdermabrasion tool for my acne scarring and it’s terrific. Its here at http://www.riiviva.com.
Do you have any recommendations as to what avenue to take for mositurizing with out all the oily residue that happens when I use oils. Thanks
If you have oily skin the last thing you need is a rich moisturizer. At night you can use an oil free Vitamin C serum to stimulate collagen and reduce dark spots. During the day you need an oil free sunscreen with a 30SPF to protect against UV aging. All a plain moisturizer can do is help the skin hold onto water. If you have oily skin, your natural oils trap water and naturally hydrate your skin. You want anti0xidants like vitamin C or green tea to reduce aging free radicals, but a rich creamy moisturizer will only cause redness and breakouts.

If you have oily skin you will want to avoid all moisturizers. Even oil-free ones can at the very least lead to enlarged pores and at worst acne and acne scars. You’re absolutely on the right track with microdermabrasion. Its not new, but it still does a wonderful job of clarifying your skin. It takes of the top layer of dead skin cells and stale oil that are clogging the pores and slowly down skin cell growth. Keep in mind that slower skin cell growth means the collagen is not renewed– and the result is more lines and wrinkles. Depending on the oiliness of your skin you can use them 3-5 times a week. But what you should use every day is a good sunscreen. I recommend the physical sunscreens with zinc oxides. Look for oil free, fragrance-free and alcohol free formulations. If your skin tends to break out from sunscreens, try mineral powder sunscreens. THey’re awesome!
